Why Choose Regular Massage?

A Massage Heights branded card with a shot of someone getting a massage

Do you often find yourself complaining about back or neck pain? Are you tired, sore, or stressed? Do you ignore any of your body’s signals because you have a busy lifestyle? The stress of everyday life, chronic pain from office work, and casual sports injuries can quickly lead to regular discomfort. If you visit the dentist or doctor for health check-ups, then consider adding massage therapy to your wellness routine! You spend all your life inside your body, so why not take care of it?

Regularly receiving massages can alleviate stress, anxiety, headaches, fatigue, and more. Daily life is full of strenuous activities. If you spend hours a day hunched over your desk or keyboard, staring at a computer screen, lifting heavy items, or standing on your feet all day, you will most likely finish work at least a little sore. Our mission is to help as many people as possible achieve a higher quality of life through the benefits of regular massage therapy. The best part about massage is that you can customize treatment to your specific needs. Discuss these with your registered massage therapist to determine which treatments are best for you.

Swedish massage can relieve muscle tension while increasing circulation and relaxation. Reduce chronic pain and muscle spasms and increase your range of motion with deep tissue massage. Sports massage reduces possible injuries, recovers muscle tissues, re-aligns muscle fibers, and flushes out toxins from your body. Other surprising benefits of massage include helping to lower blood pressure, stimulating the lymphatic system, increasing joint mobility and flexibility, boosting immunity, and even improving skin tone.

The great news is that Massage Therapy has Compounding Effects. This means that each treatment builds off the previous massage when the appointments are scheduled closely together, for example, once every 2 weeks. Our Director of Massage Therapists, Megan Bester, explains, "depending on the ailment, the Therapist will make a recommendation for a Treatment Plan over the course of a few weeks or months. While the muscle is still relaxed & receptive to the next massage, the therapist can get into the deeper tissues and get more pinpointed to the affected area. In fact, many people will often report more significant, long-lasting results in their 6th or 7th massage as compared to even the relief they feel in their 1st or 2nd massage".

The goal is to get to a stage of Preventative Maintenance. This is when as little as one massage a month is typically all it takes to maintain the progress made and really prevent the muscles from relapsing into a tense, more painful state.
