You deserve to relax. It’s not some cute slogan. It is our belief and the foundation of our mission.
Our team of Therapists considers it their mission to provide you the most professional and effective massage possible. At Massage Heights, we do not try to up-sell you to a “better” Massage; we are committed to helping you relax and restore in any session. We customize each massage to your needs; we may incorporate a variety of massage modalities based on your specified needs during that session.
Feel Better so You Can Achieve More
Often referred to as the “relaxing massage,” the modality known as Swedish massage is designed to relax guests and offers therapeutic benefits such as relief of muscle tension and increased circulation to the areas worked. When you visit a Massage Heights Retreat for this treatment, your Therapist will use your preferred pressure (somewhere between light and firm) with a range of long, flowing strokes. We may also use a combination of friction and kneading to address the more superficial layers of muscle tissue and include active and passive movements of the joints during your massage.
Swedish massage is just one of the many massage modalities we can incorporate while customizing your session.
Massage Heights makes it easy for you and your special someone to support each other in regular self-care with a relaxing, revitalizing experience you can enjoy together. Our couples massage rooms offer the peaceful, inviting atmosphere you have come to expect from our Retreat but in a larger space with two of our signature massage tables and two dedicated massage therapists.
Our expert massage therapists tailor each treatment to address your individual concerns and can incorporate any massage elevations or add-on services to boost the therapeutic benefits of your session.
Prenatal Massage Benefits of Massage during Pregnancy
Through health professionals and research, prenatal massage therapy has been proven to be instrumental in prenatal care for expecting mothers.
During pregnancy, women often experience increased levels of discomfort while their bodies are working exceptionally hard to support a baby and prepare for labor. Massage Heights offers prenatal massage specifically tailored to the needs of pregnant women to help alleviate symptoms commonly associated with pregnancy by easing discomfort, reducing swelling, alleviating stress, relieving lower back pain, and regulating hormone levels. Regular massage therapy is an important element to include in your prenatal wellness routine and has benefits for both mother and baby to feel BETTER.
Please Note: At Massage Heights, prenatal massages are done only by certified therapists who have received specialized training. Additionally, even though massage can be received at any time throughout pregnancy, there is generally an increased risk of complications during the 1st trimester. Due to this increased risk, as per company policy, Massage Heights offers prenatal massage during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters only. We also encourage clients to consult their physician before receiving massage treatments to ensure massage is suitable for them during their pregnancy journey.
Additional Prenatal Massage Benefits
· Increased blood circulation, which provides more oxygen and nutrients to both mother and baby
· Reduced stress and anxiety by regulating hormone levels
· Improved sleep by relaxing the nervous system and releasing endorphins into the mother’s body
· Relief from common pregnancy discomforts: lower and upper back pain, headaches, leg cramps, sciatica, heartburn, reflux, varicose veins, nasal congestion, and much more
Deep Tissue Massage
Therapeutic Treatment for Chronic Tension
With similar benefits to a Swedish massage, the deeper pressure used in a deep tissue massage addresses the deeper layers of muscle with slow, deliberate strokes that are beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The slower speed and more concentrated pressure encourages the muscles, fascia, and tendons to relax and realign. This massage modality is often recommended to release chronic patterns of tension, reduce pain, relieve muscle spasms, improve circulation, rehab muscles, and increase range of motion.
After discussing your session goals, your massage therapist may use only deep tissue massage, or include it as part of your customized treatment, to best address your specific concerns.
Targeted Relief & Increased Range of Motion for All Athletes
Sports massage can significantly benefit athletes of every kind, beginners and professionals alike. This type of massage can be characterized in two ways: pre-activity and post-activity. In a pre-activity sports massage, we use dynamic stretching to allow the connective tissue to move through its full range of motion, thereby reducing possible injury.
In post-activity massage, we focus on recovering muscle tissue impacted during a previous activity. This type of massage involves using long strokes to realign muscle fibers and flush out the toxins that contribute to muscle and joint soreness so athletes leave feeling BETTER.
Relax & Recover (sports massage cont.)
Sports massage allows our massage therapists the ability to address specific areas of concern while helping athletes’ bodies achieve maximum athletic performance. Whether you’re a casual runner or an elite professional athlete, this type of massage is a great addition to your routine, helping to prevent and rehab injuries, relieve pain, reduce fatigue, promote flexibility, and improve endurance.
For anyone involved in regular or sporadic athletic activities, sports massage is a necessary addition to your wellness routine to the next level.
